Curriculum

JumpStart’s approach to curriculum is child-led, relationship driven, and Montessori-inspired. Montessori is a method of early learning that encourages a child-oriented curriculum, allowing for children to make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process. Our approach nurtures each child’s individual strengths and interests, enabling them to develop their maximum potential. We incorporate academic components which are based on The Hawaii Early Learning and Developmental Standards (HELDS.) This framework guides our planned instructional activities, to ensure academic skills and knowledge are not overlooked.
